BatTwins Become Na'Vi

A decade ago we started searching for our forever home.  How things come full circle... my kids are now eating all the time!  Considering the bags of clothes I just donated, I think we've hit a growth spurt.
Looking for our forever home

We pack a lot lighter now, but we still enjoy Halloween.  This year we will be honoring Pandora - kid inspired and home-made outfits!

We will pacify you into submission!

8 weeks old!
Date: 10/02/2007
Megan and Ryan weighed in at their 8 week checkup - Megan is 9lbs. 10oz. and Ryan has nearly caught his big sister at 9lbs. 9 oz. Though Mama and Daddy are happy with this weight gain, it means the babies are still eating between 9 and 10 times per day. Yikes! Many times they ask for a meal every two hours. We have been lucky that they wait three to four hours at night - usually!

We have started calling Ryan "Major Giggler" because of the deep, throaty sound he makes. It's not really a laugh (he makes this sound usually when he is gassy), but it makes him sound like a superhero villain. We've decided that the "Major Giggler" will be Batman's next enemy. In honor of him, we've selected Batman and Batgirl costumes for Halloween. They arrived yesterday and are super-cute.

The twins are really enjoying music class (and Mama is too); they've managed to stay awake for most or all of class the last two weeks. They've also seemed to like playing the CD in the car, and they've been calming when I play the music bar that is attached to their bouncers. Today Megan was singing along with the Boblin Band Bouncer. I'm convinced these kids will have some musical talent (or we'll be able to develop it in them).

We took a family outing this past weekend to scout out the many towns in Somerset County. We aren't planning to move yet, but we have been researching school districts within commuting distance for both Rick and me. With Mama navigating and Daddy driving, we had a nice afternoon, and Ryan and Megan enjoyed a "picnic" in the park in Bernardsville.

We are starting to make it outside the house more. I venture out alone with the twins, and with the help of Shari, who helps me part time, I can take them many places (like Wal Mart, yea!) or I can get out by myself for a much needed break.

We are planning a trip to PA in late October, so we are hoping to see many people who have not yet had the chance to meet Megan and Ryan. Since Rick will be away the weekend we are traveling, the trip will be a new adventure for Mama and the kids. I better start packing now...
